Capital One - Senior Software Engineer

Upon joining, I developed enough domain expertise to lead, design, and implement new accounting-oriented, ledgering primitives in a Java SDK. This was foundational work which was used to enhance ongoing card modernization efforts author financial logic. This was also used by other lines of business.

Pivoting to some migration work, I led our team to plan and execute migrations of 10s of millions of financial records with effective 100% success rate alongside 4+ other card teams. These used Apache Spark data pipelines hosted on AWS Glue and were written in Python.

Later on, I lead the design and project scope for new integrations to Golang/AWS based microservices powering newer modernized card platforms. I engaged 4+ other software teams in going over design proposal, highlighting key integration decisions and business risk mitigation to enable continuation of card modernization efforts.

Throughout my time here, I maintained the team’s project roadmap alongside management and product, and gave the the team prioritized engineering direction for each sprint given rapid organization changes.
